Discipleship is more than an important program in the church. It is the great priority found in the Great Commission It is the foundation of a stable faith and the means of rich rewarding relationships with God and man.
The answers to all the challenges facing the Church today is a Spirit-filled laity who is not ashamed of the Gospel and loves the Lord 24/7.
The School of Discipleship is committed to teaching, training and empowering believers to carry out the Great Commission. Courses in Bible, doctrine, leadership and contemporary issues like, single parenting, substance abuse, divorce, etc. All are welcome. Come bring a friend.
Adopt-a-Student
Imagine coming to a new city to start university or college and not knowing anyone. We pair gracious host families with post-secondary students living in the St. John's metro area.
While host families and students are encouraged to connect as often as possible, we kindly ask that host families:
- share a meal with students twice a semester;
- assist students with transportation to/from church (if necessary); and
- contact students via phone/e-mail throughout the semester.

Monthly Events
We recognize the importance of supporting young families by helping them connect to our church and each other. Through several informal events, we provide opportunities for parents and children under the age of 12 to interact, grow together spiritually and simply have fun!

Elim Productions
Elim Productions handles the technical and multi-media support for all the church services and ministries of Elim Tabernacle - including the Old, old Story radio broadcast, Kidz Inc., Shelter Youth services and all special events.
The technicians who serve behind the scenes in this vital area of ministry, have a heart-felt commitment to enhance each church gathering with the best possible technical assistance.
Without their contribution, the great message of the Gospel quite literally would not be 'heard.'
Music Ministry
Elim's music and worship ministry is an integral part of the life and the future of this assembly. We value every singer, musician and worship leader - and our desire is to see God glorified in each and every note!
'The true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is a Spirit - and His worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.' (John 4:23-24)
The goals of Elim's Worship Ministry:
- The help foster an atmosphere for Holy Spirit anointed worship
- To be good stewards of our talents and time
- To develop worshipers both on our worship teams and in the assembly
- To be relevant in worship styles across all ages and generations
- To strive for excellence in our presentation
